Demetra's Silk + Pastel Lace Appliqué Tie Shoulder Gown [xs/sm]

An incredibly beautiful 1930s silk satin tie shoulder gown that has been painstakingly restored by Demetra. When found, the gown had pinholes and marks through the body and the shoulder ribbons were shredding. After being carefully cleaned by hand, the gown was transformed in our studio using authentic 1930s lingerie laces and silk ribbons from our extensive materials library. The result is stunning, with gorgeous 1930s pastel lace appliqués and antique double faced silk shoulder ribbons, pink on one side, blue on the other for a fun flash of color. The gown itself is cut on the bias for a soft curve hugging fit, and closes at the low back with a single hook and eye.

This one of a kind garment is a Demetra Revival restoration: a rare but wounded treasure given new life in the Demetra studio using professional tailoring skills, heirloom techniques, and historically accurate materials. It bears a Demetra label, carefully sewn into the interior. This garment is now in excellent to pristine condition, with little to no evidence of wear: there is some very subtle surface wear to the skirt in some inconspicuous places, but overall presents beautifully.
