Fabulous 1960s "car wash" dress custom made in the 1960s in the style of Pierre Cardin's famous design. This piece came from the estate of a woman who was a well known opera singer in the 1960s- everything she owned was custom, and she certainly had a love for the dramatic! Long ribbons of fabric cascade down from the empire waistline, dancing and swaying with movement. The body of the dress is slim cut with high leg slits, topped with a beautifully tailored bodice that has small amounts of boning for added structure. The perfect dress for year round party and cocktail wear.
