1930s Silver Lamé Cowl Back Trained Gown

$2,198.00

Absolutely incredible 1930s lamé bridal gown. Everything about this dress is heart stopping, from the gorgeous swirled and sparkling materials, so the sculptural cowl back and off the shoulder styling. The dress is cut on the bias allowing the material to flow beautifully over the body and hug every curve without restricting movement. The skirt is incredibly full, with a long, wide train following behind. Just exquisite, and a truly unique, one of a kind bridal moment.

Excellent restored condition. When found the gown had a large horizontal tear in the skirt and seam stresses/small tears along the bodice. The tear has been professionally repaired and is now entirely invisible when worn. The dress has no side closures, so these seams take on stress when the dress is being put on and taken off- all of these points of stress have been reinforced with interfacing to prevent future damage and any wear repaired invisibly. Otherwise there are a few subtle marks towards the hem, only noticeable upon close inspection. This gown has been thoroughly professionally restored and is now strong, wearable and ready for its next life. Please see the last two photos for pictures of the work done.
