The holy grail of 1920s piano shawls: multicolor lamé. This beauty however, is completely beyond expectation, made in a most unusual and unique color palette, with huge poppies printed all over, and extra long ombré dyed fringe. The lavender and reddish hues complement one another in a totally unexpected but somehow perfectly balanced way. The large scale print reads beautifully, but gives an amazing abstract effect as well when the shawl is draped. A remarkable, very wearable piece of art and history.

Excellent restored condition. Two small areas at the edge of the shawl have been carefully rewoven, blending in almost completely. The fringe is lightly tangled, some small areas missing some strands, but will be carefully steamed and packed for shipment. Presents as mint when worn.
