Unreal, very likely one of a kind, late 1910s to very early 1920s cocoon coat. Made from the plushiest high pile silk velvet and trimmed with braided silk, this piece is fully and truly reversible. One side is a lush, dramatic fuchsia, the obverse a more toned down but still incredible deep inky black. Made in the style of Paul Poiret who pioneered the cocoon style in the early 20th century. A remarkable piece of wearable art.

Remarkable near pristine condition, with just some minor wear to the braided silk trim.
