1900s Cotton Insertion Lace Trousseau Gown [xs/sm/med]

$498.00

Unreal Edwardian white cotton dressing gown covered in floral hand embroidery and incredibly detailed insertion lace accents. The lace, arranged in soft at nouveau curves and medallions, creates an amazing transparency in the garment. The cotton is ever so slightly sheer, making it a wonderful layering piece, or simply worn with a slip underneath. The sleeves are incredible, with multiple layers of gathering and layering, creating awesome volume. Silk ribbons are woven into the bodice and ties into the sleeves giving a lovely texture and ability to cinch the bust to fit. The ribbons can easily be removed or exchanged for other colors if desired. A sweet monogram sits centered on the bodice and is hard to make out, but seems to perhaps be a French name.

Excellent condition. Remarkably near pristine and likely never worn. The silk ribbons have been replaced, as the original ones were beginning to deteriorate.
