Description

Incredibly unusual c1900s double breasted frock coat made from a soft and sumptuous cotton piqué fabric. This jacket is really something special- it is very clearly inspired by gentleman's frock coats from the Georgian era, but made from a much sportier material that translates beautifully for modern wear. The cut is fantastic, with beautifully tailored paneling through the back that creates a defined waist and exaggerated "bustle" at the back. Has two very large function pockets at either hip, and a back vent for ease of movement. Exceptionally well made, fully finished throughout and with beautiful hand bound buttonholes. This is a gorgeous example and so, so easy to dress up or down, this will quickly become a closet staple!

Excellent condition, appears unworn. At Demetra, each garment is thoroughly cleaned, inspected for damage and professionally repaired with nearly a decade of experience in tailoring and working with antique materials. Each garment will arrive clean and ready to wear with little to no signs of age.
