Remarkable 1920s handmade silk robe with the most incredible chantilly lace angel sleeves and large silk ribbon-work flowers. This piece is so special, and unlike any antique robe I have ever seen, with large panels of exquisite lace used to construct the sleeves and to cover the back. Silk ribbons have been carefully fashioned into flowers and appliquéd at the front and nape of the neck. Closes with an interior tie and two snaps, but wears beautifully open as well. A wearable piece of art and history.
