The original! A rare 1940s Indian block printed cotton day dress, the earliest (and hardest to find!) style of many iterations of this must-have vintage summer favorite. This lovely example is made from an elaborately hand dyed and block printed cotton fabric in the perfect medium weight that is light and breezy without being sheer. The bodice is cut on the bias for a super flattering fit, with a uniquely gathered dropped shoulder sleeve. Closes at the back with a key hole back, and ties at the back waist for a perfect fit. Labelled S.S. Sarna New York.

Excellent condition.
