Rare and collectible 1940s old master’s print cotton smock by “Gerson Kaufmann” featuring some of the famous works of art created mainly from the High Renaissance to the mid Victorian era. Many household names are represented, including Vincent Van Gogh and Diego Velazquez. A wonderful example in the classic black color way. Over the years, I have seen this stunning piece in red, white, black, and blue- I’m sure there are others… time to start your collection! Wears beautifully as a blouse or light jacket.

Excellent condition with scattered light marks and discoloration, the worst of which is at the nape of the neck and does not show when worn. Marks are subtle, and get lost in the busy print when worn, but please see photos. These marks are very likely the result of this piece being used for its intended purpose, as a work smock. Structurally excellent, strong and wearable.
