Incredibly gorgeous 1920s silk devoré velvet gown with the most vivid of floral prints. Simply styled with a classic 1920s boxy silhouette, this gown is perfectly designed to show off these incredible textiles. Two different devoré prints have been perfectly matched to create the effect. The black sheer floral on top is reminiscent of the "Narcissus" floral print by Franz von Zülow for Weiner Werkstatte circa early 1910s, and contrasts perfectly with the vivid painterly effect of the cabbage robe hem print. So elegant, incredibly modern, and a true work of textile genius.

Overall excellent condition with a few minor cosmetic notes. At the side of the bodice towards the armhole there is a small (1/2 in) repair that is nearly invisible, and get totally  lost in the drape when worn. There are also a couple small inconspicuous repairs in one underarm, as well as a handful of pinholes that have been treated to prevent worsening. Presents beautifully and is very strong and wearable.
