1980s Silk Lamé Handkerchief Gown [xs/sm]
£265.00
Stunning 1980s does 1920s silk gown made from light as air silk chiffon interwoven with gold and rainbow lurex lamé threads depicting abstracted daffodils in a style reminiscent of early 20th century lamé fabrics. The very best of the 1980s, this piece is beautifully fabricated with high quality materials and a gorgeous draping silhouette. The skirt is incredibly beautiful made from multiple layers of silk with a distinct handkerchief hem. The layered materials create a textural transparency effect that moves beautifully with the wearer. Fully lined in opaque silk crepe. Labeled "Lynn Bowling New York" and "Henri Bendel".
Excellent condition. Tiny functionally invisible repairs at either side of the dropped waist where the chiffon pulled away slightly from the seam. Presents as mint condition.
