Remarkable 1920s minty green gold lamé jacket made from wool- an incredibly rare example, as the luxurious and expensive lamé fabrics were almost exclusively made with silk, or in some cases rayon, but almost never fibers associated with daywear such as wool or cotton. This jacket is cut with a classic boxy 1920s silhouette, extremely elegant but simple enough to allow the fabric to shine (literally and figuratively). The real metal lamé threads are carefully woven into the green wool herringbone in  geometric deco patterns at varying scales. The effect is downright divine, and honestly this piece just get better and better the closer you look. The perfect antique piece for a modern day wardrobe: this piece will style beautifully with just about anything. The jacket has a very cool original label on the inside which reads "inspired by Lanvin Paris".

Excellent overall condition with some minor cosmetic notes. A few scattered loose threads in the lamé and a small mend on the back. Lining has been removed and inside seams finished by hand. Presents beautifully and is very strong and wearable.
