Circa early 1900s Edwardian cotton insertion lace trousseau jacket in subtle shades of ice blue. This beautiful piece is a serious labor of love compiled of carefully assembled panels of blue cotton, miles of delicate insertion lace and silk ribbons. Some of the panels are even pintucked for added texture. The silhouette is incredibly flattering with a slightly fitted empire waist bodice, with an extremely full gored "skirt" that drapes and flares with movement. Detailed along the empire waist and sleeves with blue silk ribbons; closes at the center front with a silk ribbon tie. Absolutely stunning, and one of the most intricate examples of early trousseau jackets I have ever seen. Wears beautifully as a light jacket over your favorite dress or with jeans!

Excellent condition.
