Fantastic 1930s hand knit ensemble comprised of a matching jacket and skirt made from spun rayon yarns. Despite being close to a century old, this set has a shockingly modern feel with clean lines and a monochrome color scheme. Beautifully made with the contrasting white collar made as a separate piece and then carefully stitched in. Closes at the front and at the cuffs with fantastic molded celluloid buttons in the shape of sculptural roses. The skirt waist has elastic woven through for a perfect figure hugging fit every time. So sleek and elegant as well as incredibly flattering all at once, this ensemble is perfect for day to night wear. The jacket on its own is very versatile, and would wear beautifully over a slip dress or with your favorite jeans.

Excellent condition. Restored in house: the elastic has been freshly replaced, and the white collar was removed and cleaned separately to bring it back to a clean true white, and then reattached by hand. Presents as mint.

Measurements:

Fits well on a range of sizes due to lots of stretch in the material. Wears beautifully slightly oversized as well, as shown. Measurements taken at rest-max comfortable stretch.
