Sweetest 1930s slip skirt in a soft robin's egg blue silk. Tastefully finished with art deco styled drawnwork at the hem, and hand applies lace trim. Closes with a single glass button at east side of the waist. Cut on the bias with elegant deco lines for perfect curve hugging shape. Probably French, label reads "Crepe Achevé".
Overall excellent condition with some minor cosmetic flaws to note. This skirt started its life as a pair of tap shorts, which is evidenced by extremely subtle stitch lines where the crotch connecting piece would have been attached. It appears that at some point in its life this piece was removed and used to create a very handsome repair next to the lace at the side (shown in photos). Otherwise, there are two small near invisible seam repairs at one side, and a very subtle mark towards the hem. Presents beautifully and is very strong and wearable!
Intended to sit just below natural waist line. Recommended for a slightly oversized fit.
Waist 28-29 in (recommended up to approx 27 in natural waist with some flexibility)
Hips up to 42 in
Length 20 in
For reference, Aya measures 31/25/35 and is 5'8"
Note: This piece was cleaned after its use in the the Mnemosyne photoshoot, and will arrive freshly laundered and steamed.
