Holy mother of incredible 1930s showgirl magic!! This piece is just beyond comprehension- thats how amazing it is! This waistcoat is made from true lamé striped rayon with real metal threads woven into the floral design, and lined with black satin. The pattern matching is totally perfect down the back creating an amazing chevron design. The front of the waistcoat has a deep v bust-line and peplum shape at the waist. The long skirt has a slight train at the back that delicately brushes the floor. The waist has an amazing double sided button closure that goes through two delicate button holes at the waist. It is likely that this was at one time a high end custom made showpiece for the discerning performer. Unequivocally one of a kind.
Excellent condition with some very light wear and couple very subtle marks. Presents as mint.
