Incredible Georgian 14k (tests) and seed pearl earrings dating from approximately the 1790s-1810s. These earrings, very likely Spanish in origin, are small works of art carefully crafted by hand using traditional Spanish filigree techniques combined with seed pearls careful mounted on gold wires and worked into the body of the earrings. If you look closely, you can see the small twisted wires where the pearl strands are attached to the filigree structures. The top portion is comprised of 4 articulated leaves that are exquisitely made- you can see the burnished effect of the hand hammered finish. Dangling from the very bottom are natural baroque pearls for a perfect balanced article. Absolutely exquisite and heirloom worthy, these earrings would make for an incredible final touch on a bridal ensemble.

Excellent condition. All pearls remarkably appear to still be present. There is one small dent in the bottom dome of one earring (please see last photo) but this is not visible when worn. In the bottom portion there is some gorgeous darkened patina to the gold. Lever back ear hooks are modern replacements as the originals were missing when found. There is a nearly illegible mark on the top loop of one earring that appears to read "N G".
