Circa early 20th century. Made from a unique, early plastic that has a woodgrain-like appearance and is significantly heavier than celluloid. Lined in silk and silk velvet. Latches securely. Overall very nice condition with light surface wear and some discoloration and wear to pile of the velvet. Interior "bridge" ribbon has torn, not very noticeable and does not affect use. "Edmund H.
