1940s Bodycon Silk Velvet Diamanté Gown [xs/sm/med]
Exquisite 1930s silk velvet gown with an extremely unusual elastic bodycon bodice design, made and trademarked by Matletex of California. Rows of elastic fibers sewn horizontally into the velvet create a ruched + gathered effect that molds to the body of the wearer (not unlike smocking) for a super sexy and shockingly modern effect. The gown has an incredibly full skirt that drapes beautifully around the wearer, and is finished with diamanté straps for an extra shot of glam. Chic, elegant and comfortable, this is truly the only black dress you will ever need.
Excellent condition. A couple pinholes in the lower skirt that get entirely lost in the drape.
