1930s Black Silk Gown with Blue Embroidery [xs/sm/med]

$1,453.00

Remarkable 1930s silk chiffon bias cut gown in a hard to find inky black color with incredibly special and unique details. The bodice is detailed with hand embroidered with icy blue florals and hand applied lace appliqués with matching trims at the hem. The shoulder styling is very unusual with double straps that can be worn on or off the shoulder, as shown. The gown is ever so slightly sheer making it a perfect layering and styling piece- this gown would look incredible worn over a fabulous skivvies set. Incredibly well made to the highest standards of the time: this garment is entirely hand sewn, even down to the seams. The unmatched quality and unusual design suggest that this may have been a custom made garment. Absolutely exquisite, and a must have for the serious collector.

Excellent condition. A couple incredible subtle minor marks in skirt. Presents as mint.

Measurements:
