Demetra's Green Silk Appliqué Flutter Sleeve Gown [sm/med]

A remarkable 1930s green silk georgette gown with exquisite silk and lace appliqué work through the bodice that has been painstakingly restored by Demetra. When found, small marks, stains and pinholes were visibly scattered throughout. After being carefully cleaned by hand, the gown was transformed in our studio with 30+ hours of hand sewing and countless lace appliqués, as well as the addition of romantic flutter sleeves, using authentic 1930s lingerie laces from our extensive materials library. The result is an exquisite cascade of delicate lace florals throughout, supremely romantic with a touch of whimsey. The gown itself is cut on the bias for a soft curve hugging fit and exquisitely detailed through the bodice with matching green floral silk appliqué. Finished with a stunning scalloped neckline and carefully hand rolled hem.

This one of a kind garment is a Demetra Revival restoration: a rare but wounded treasure given new life in the Demetra studio using professional tailoring skills, heirloom techniques, and historically accurate materials. It bears a Demetra label, carefully sewn into the interior. This garment is now in excellent to pristine condition, with little to no evidence of wear.
