Demetra's French Silk + Lace Appliqué Duster

An absolutely exquisite 1930s ivory silk duster with hand applied French lace appliqué detailing throughout. When found it had scattered marks and stains throughout, all of which have been carefully covered with hand sewn matching antique lace appliqués from our materials library. The result is gorgeous, with a cascading effect of florals throughout the silk, melding beautifully with the intricate lace detailing at the hem and cuffs. It would make for an exceptional addition to a bridal trousseau or ensemble, and is definitely a piece that can be worn again and again. We love this duster because it is elegant and easy, and it will instantly elevate just about any outfit whether you are dressing up or down. 

Excellent condition. This one of a kind garment is a Demetra Revival restoration: a rare but wounded treasure given new life in the Demetra studio using professional tailoring skills, heirloom techniques, and historically accurate materials. It bears a Demetra label, carefully sewn into the interior. This garment is now in excellent to pristine condition, with little to no evidence of wear.
