1970s Valerie Porr Handpainted Silk Chiffon Blouse [xs/sm]
$775.00
Incredibly rare and special 1970s hand painted silk chiffon balloon sleeve blouse by Valerie Porr, a Soho based designer who had a serious cult following in the 1960s-1970s. Many of her designs, including this remarkable blouse, were made from gorgeous diaphanous silks, capturing the classic Stevie Nicks forward spirit of 1970s fashion. Between the party culture of the 70s and the delicacy of the materials, very few of her designs have survived the test of time. This absolutely glorious blouse is a remarkable exception. Striking sleeves end in elastic cuffs for maximized volume, a dolman shoulder that adds to the dramatic drape, a high collar with a keyhole back and finally a matching tie to be worn around the waist, at the neck, or perhaps even in the hair, the choice is yours. Light as air and beautifully sheer, this blouse has endless styling opportunities. Truly a piece of timeless art to wear!
Excellent condition. 2-3 pinholes at the shoulder that have been treated to prevent worsening, all of which are entirely covered by the collar when worn. Presents as mint.
