Incredibly rare 1940s novelty printed cold rayon Hawaiian sarong style dress with matching jacket by Waikiki Modes. The color way on this set is just out of this world featuring a a deep periwinkle with accents of chartreuse, red and white. The pattern is hard to decipher, but has a tropical feel and appears to feature some Chinese characters. Beautiful styling with a ruching bodice, straps, and the true wrapping sarong skirt, *not* a faux wrap! Zips up one side. So stunning, so sexy!
Overall excellent condition with some minor cosmetic notes. There is some ever so subtle fade on this set, but it is really so hard to notice. On the skirt of the dress there is one dark spot on the side, but it visually gets lot in the print, please see photos. Otherwise there is some very subtle underarm discoloration is perhaps a couple small pulls/marks, but nothing in particular to note. Overall excellent shape and very strong and wearable.
