1930s Sky Blue Silk and Lace Gown [xs/sm]
$1,976.00
Utterly remarkable 1930s sky blue silk charmeuse slip dress with the most incredible French lace detailing through the bodice. An incredible example of couture craftsmanship from the early 20th century, this gown is entirely hand sewn, all the way down to the seams. It is made by one of the best brands of lingerie from the time, Yolande, and has a second label indicating it was originally purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue. Perfectly styled with a curve hugging bias cut fit, a sultry scooped back, and an attached wait tie for a perfect fit every time. The silk fabric is soft and sumptuous and is opaque, unlike some of the light silks from this period, making it a fantastic option for an evening wear or bridal ensemble. Just stunning, and truly breathtaking to behold.
Excellent condition. There are a couple incredibly subtle marks in skirt that get entirely lost when worn. Presents as mint condition.
