Diaphanous 1930s pastel painterly floral silk chiffon gown with a large, draping double layer attached capelet. The gown is cut on the bias for an extremely flattering body skimming fit with a very full skirt that floats gracefully with movement. Has an elegant low cut back, and comes with a matching belt that fastens with a fabulous art deco paste belt buckle. Has no closures, but has a huge amount of bias stretch that allows it easily slip on and off overhead.

Excellent condition with some minor cosmetic notes. There is an area in the lower skirt and towards the side where there is a smattering of very small and subtle brownish ghost marks in the chiffon. It is very very subtle all together, and generally presents as part pattern due to the painterly quality. Otherwise there is one small (about 1/2") vertical repair in the front lower skirt. Both these subtle marks and small repair get almost entirely lost in the wide sweep of the skirt. Presents beautifully and is very strong and wearable.

Measurements:

Lots of flex due to bias cut.

Bust 31-35 in

Hips up to 38 in

Shoulders 13.5 in (best for up to 14.5 in)

Belt is currently set to 26.5 inch waist but has plenty of excess material to easily be extended to 27 in or shortened as needed.
