Rare 1930s linen beach gown and jacket ensemble in a stunning and hard to dark floral print. Beautifully styled with deco lines at the bodice, and the sweeping skirt cut on the bias creating an elegant drape. The high neckline is finished with a sculptural pleated collar that fastens at the nape of the neck, leading into a plunging open back. The jacket has fabulously puffed sleeves and would be style beautifully on its own as well. The gown closes at one side with a very rare to see celluloid zipper.

Excellent condition. There is some ever so slight fade at the side of the lower skirt that is not at all noticeable, and a very subtle line at the lower skirt where an old hem was let out. Presents beautifully.

It is worth mentioning that there is significant seam allowance available at both side seams- the dress could comfortably be taken out at least 2 inches if desired.
