Stunning 1930s dressing gown made from the most incredibly supple silk crepe back satin in a striking autumnal art deco floral print. Perfectly styled for the cooler months with long puffed sleeves and a voluminous draping skirt complete with an ever so slight train. Closes at the front with a series of self covered buttons and hidden snaps at the waist to close the wrap style skirt. Has an matching belt attached at the back seams that closes at the front with a fabulous self covered buckle. Beautifully made and clearly a garment of prestige: the selvage of the fabric is signed (unfortunately illegible from the way it was printed) indicating it is a fabric of very high quality made by a specific known textile designer- this is very very rare to see on garments/fabric from this era. A truly special piece, and although it may have been intended for at home elegance back in the day, in the 21st century this treasure is absolutely suitable as an evening gown for your next event!

Excellent condition. There are a handful of extremely subtle marks in the skirt that get entirely lost in the painterly print and a couple tiny spots at the waist that are covered by the belt when fastened. Tiny repair less that 1/4" in the underarm that is entirely invisible. Presents beautifully.
