Demetra's Silver Lamé Diamanté Halter Gown
$3,812.00
Unbelievably beautiful 1930s silver floral lamé halter gown painstakingly restored by Demetra. When found, the gown had never been completed- it was the body of the dress only with no straps, completely unwearable as a garment. After being carefully cleaned by hand, the gown was transformed in our studio with the addition of authentic new old stock 1930s diamanté straps from our extensive materials library. The result is an unreal body skimming metallic dream of real metal and silk threads, with a supremely sexy open back. A truly show stopping one of a kind masterpiece, destined to become an instant heirloom.
This one of a kind garment is a Demetra Revival restoration: a rare but unfinished treasure given new life in the Demetra studio using professional tailoring skills, heirloom techniques, and historically accurate materials. It bears a Demetra label, carefully sewn into the interior. This garment is now in excellent to pristine condition, with little to no evidence of wear, save for some scattered minor tarnish to the lamé that is entirely lost in the drape and is only noticeable upon incredible close inspection.
