1930s Trained Silk Wrap Gown [xs/sm/med]
$2,432.00
Absolutely exquisite 1930s bias cut silk gown made from luscious liquid silk satin, silk chiffon and lace, complete with a dramatic train. Everything about this gown screams romance, from the carefully wrapped Grecian bodice that drapes beautifully across the shoulders, to the hand applied French lace trims along the entirety of the hem. Beautifully hand sewn even down to the seams, this gown was very likely a custom made piece for a very special bride. Uniquely styled with a silk under-bodice with double straps that sits below the attached silk chiffon wrapped bodice eliminating the need for extra coverage underneath. Perhaps the most exquisite detail is the long draping train, attached by hand as a large scale ruffle with a seam across the lower skirt allowing for a huge amount of extra fullness. Words cannot fully express the beauty of this garment- it has a strong presence, and is truly a sight to behold. An absolutely incredible option for the discerning bride looking to wear a unique one of a kind vintage gown on her special day.
Excellent condition. A few extremely subtle minor marks/abrasions and a small handful of small, subtle pulls (largest 2 1/2") in lower skirt, all of which gets entirely lost in the drape. Presents as mint.
