1920s Brussels Lace Net Capelet Gown [sm/med/lrg]
$2,546.00
Unbelievably beautiful 1920s Brussels lace net gown entirely handmade from tape laces carefully manipulated to create floral and foliage motifs perfectly arranged and sewn to a light as air gossamer cotton net. This process, both incredibly time consuming and highly skilled work, would have been saved for the most prestigious of garments taking hundreds of hours to complete. This example is absolutely marvelous, with complex motifs throughout to achieve incredible texture and depth in the lacework. A layered capelet around the shoulders adds a uniquely feminine element to the silhouette, and the back of the garment is just as gorgeous at the front, with an ever so slightly gathered bustle for extra volume in the skirt. The loose and draping trapeze silhouette is incredibly flattering, complimented by the sheerness of the piece which allows for endless styling options to dress up or down. Closes at the back neckline with hidden hooks for easy on and off. This gown would make for an utterly incredible one of a kind bridal option.
Incredibly pristine condition. Appears unworn.
