Incredible 1930s inky black silk velvet strapless gown with special sequin detailing. The bodice of the gown is lightly boned to add some support. The neckline is finished with a romantic flounce covered with and surrounded by delicate sequins. The sequins are early examples, made of gelatin, and coming is stunning colors and shapes, incomparable to modern counterparts. The gown closes at the center back with an art deco talon bell zipper. A truly elegant example of Old Hollywood glamour. 

Excellent condition. A few scattered pinholes, but they are not at all visible due to the pile of the fabric, and can only be seen when fabric is held up to light. Presents as mint. Sequins are in excellent condition.
