Remarkable 1930s rusty orange and gold lamé foliage print column gown. This fabric is so incredibly luxurious, with a beautiful metal sheen and intricate pattern weaving. Very flattering styling with pleating at the sides of the waist and a sexy low back. Labeled a French size 38. Closes at the back with hidden hooks and eyes. 

Overall excellent restored condition. When found, the straps of this gown were in tattered condition, but have been restored to wearable condition by backing with cotton twill tape and silk ribbon. The effect is very strong and very close to the original look. There is some light wear visible on the surface of the straps but this is not noticeable except upon close inspection. Otherwise the dress is in beautiful condition with one subtle mark towards the neckline that blends in beautifully.
