1930s Lemon Silk Trained Gown [xs/sm/med]
$698.00
Incredible 1930s bias cut trained gown made from the softest lemon silk charmeuse and adorned with hand applied French lace. Cut with a flattering empire waistline that flows into the bias cut skirt hugging the body. The gown has a low cut v back and a sweet, manageable train. The skirt is quite full towards the hem, creating a wonderful mermaid effect. Note: This piece would have originally been made and marketed as a negligée, but beautifully translates as evening attire for modern wear.
Overall very good condition with some minor cosmetic flaws to note. There are a couple small expert repairs to the lace at the neckline that are essentially invisible, and one or two very very subtle marks. In the silk of the skirt mostly from hip level and down there are some scattered "pulls" in the silk. They are very minor and get lost in the sheen and drape when worn, but are notable none the less. At the side back if the skirt there is a small section with a few minor marks. This may seem like quite the list, but overall this special gown presents beautifully, but is perhaps not well suited to a perfectionist.
