1930s Black Chiffon Tiered Lace Gown with Cape & Slip [xs/sm]

Absolutely unbelievable 1930s silk chiffon deco bias cut gown with matching capelet. There are no words for this piece. The gown is cut on the bias with a high neck peter pan collar, incredible rounded rectangular mother of pearl buttons, and highly articulated mermaid lace hem. The back of the gown is a low cut T back that is incredibly flattering. Closes at one side with hidden snaps. The matching cape is made in an identical style as the mermaid hem with tiers of chiffon and lace, and ties at the neck. Remarkably, the original backless rayon slip made specifically to complement the shape of the gown is also still with the set. Completely one of a kind, you will never see another.

In extremely rare near pristine condition. The silk is as soft and supple as the day it was made, no signs of dryness or wear. There is one tiny tiny spot on the side of the bust towards the armhole, and a couple tiny spots in the lace of the cape, otherwise nothing to note. It appears this piece was never worn.
