Gorgeous early example of a bralette dating to the 1920s in an unusual design that wears perfectly as a tank top or blouse. It is beautifully made from a ecru cotton tambour lace with very unusual colored detailing to the flowers in pink, lavender, and soft green threads. Beautifully made, fully lined in silk chiffon, with hidden hook and eye closures down the center back. The straps are made from a perfectly matching lavender silk ribbon, finished with sweet floral ribbon work appliqués. A rare early example in the development of women's undergarments that fits beautifully into a modern wardrobe. Original silk label is present, reading "Nature's Rival, Made in USA".

Excellent condition. Some extremely subtle discoloration and a few pinholes to the lining only, none of which shows when worn. Light wear to the interior fabric where the closures are located, has been reinforced by hand where needed, again not visible when worn. Presents as beautifully.
