1970s Gucci Suede Jacket with Enameled Dog Studs [xs/sm]
$2,198.00
Incredibly rare 1970s chestnut brown suede jacket with unique enameled cabochons. The waistline and sleeves are detailed with silver tone metal hand enameled studs depicting greyhound profiles wearing red studded collars. Each one is ever so slightly different if you look very closely at the detailing work which tells us that these are hand painted individually giving each dog their own personality, an incredible moment of artisan craftsmanship. Each stud is framed with a matte finish leather stitched into the body of the jacket, with the same matte leather mirrored at the collar. Immaculately styled with a super flattering slightly cropped fit and a sharp dagger collar. Has a great second collar piece that folds over at the name of the neck for a cool layered look. Fully lined with scarf silk printed with the classic Gucci horse bit monogram. Zips up the center front with a subtly monogrammed metal zipper. An absolutely incredible example of Gucci 1970s world renown leather work, masterfully crafted and full of hand finished details, truly made to last a lifetime.
Excellent condition with some light expected surface wear and some minor scuffing. One tiny nick in the nap at the front that is nearly imperceptible. Leather is very soft and supple. Presents beautifully.
