1930s Blue Honeycomb Smocked Peignoir [xs/sm/med]

Stunning 1930s icy blue silk georgette peignoir with exquisite hand smocked details. The shoulders, waistline and cuffs are smocked by hand creating a wonderfully textured textile that stretches and forms to fit the wearer for a stunning curve hugging fit. The heavy smocking also gives amazing volume in the sleeves, bodice and skirt from the excess of fabric creating a dramatic effect. Closes at the front with gorgeous matching hand covered buttons.

Excellent condition. We have added a few antique lace appliqués to the front skirt on both sides to cover a few flaws and balance the look. Otherwise there are one or two incredibly subtle marks on the sleeve- presents as mint.
