Unbelievably rare early 1900s entirely handmade Irish crochet trained wedding skirt. Hundreds if not thousands of hours went into making this exquisite lace masterpiece, very clearly the work of a master of their craft. The textile is made of thousands of the very tiniest of crochet stitches, worked together into a beautiful harmony of texture with three dimensional elements jumping out of the floral motifs throughout. And if that weren't enough, the effect is completed with an elegantly scalloped hem that fans out behind the wearer as one walks. A true artifact of the past in remarkable condition, this is an heirloom worthy piece and certainly the makings of an unforgettable bridal ensemble.

Excellent condition. Waistband has been replaced professionally in house with antique cotton and hooks.
