Incredible gorgeous 1930 diaphanous gown, made from a mauve silk chiffon, intertwined with floral silk lace. The bodice and skirt are beautifully articulated with hand appliqué work and pleating that create marvelous textural effects and play with transparency. The shape is simple and elegant, and allows the complex textile to do its work. Comes with a matching belt with an incredible bakelite and rhinestone set buckle. Wear it with a nude slip or onesie underneath for a modern touch.

Excellent condition. The only thing to note is some extremely subtle underarm discoloration that is only noticeable upon very close inspection, functionally invisible. At some point in its life, this dress was taken in slightly at the waist. The material is still there, so it could be taken back out if desired, but the alteration was well done so we have chosen to leave it as found.
