Unreal 1930s ivory silk velvet gown with huge balloon sleeves and a dramatic train. This gown is the height of old Hollywood elegance with a perfectly simple silhouette that allows the details to shine. Cut on the bias for a super flattering silhouette, and a gorgeous shape through the bust and neckline. Finished at the back with covered satin and velvet buttons and hidden snaps at the wrist.

Overall excellent condition with a few minor cosmetic flaws to note. At the front of the dress at around hip level there is a very subtle area of discoloration- it is barely visible as it presents as a trick of the light in the velvet. Please see the last photo. Otherwise, at the back if the dress at hip level there is an extremely tiny repaired nick in the fabric that goes totally unnoticed, and a handful of very small and careful period repairs, pin holes and tiny marks in the train of the gown, that again get totally lost in the velvet pile. Presents as mint when worn.
